Frequently Asked Questions

Old news! Now updating for game launch…

I loved Illuminati: New World Order (INWO) back in the 1990s, and I waited a long time for an update! What is changing and what will stay the same?

INWO players will find the video game familiar: many hundreds of cards, each reflecting some aspect of the conspiracies lurking all around us, and each with their own special abilities. It’s a simple game that can grow quickly complex as your conspiracies deepen.

Every player picks an Illuminati to play, then the race is on to build your conspiracy, controlling or destroying other groups. You may get help from other players along the way, though they’re more likely to trip you up when you least expect it. Don’t worry—you can return the favor.

What the video game improves upon is the ease and intuitiveness of play, freeing the player from all the repetitive mental math that comes with a complex tabletop game and saving you from having to remember which rules come into play in which situations.

Of course, you can definitely expect many new cards, illuminating the modern conspiracies of our world.

Will we see modern-day popular or political figures?

We’re introducing people, and bad things to do to people, in Expansion Set 1: Assassins! Without revealing too much, there are contemporary personalities in the art pipeline. Follow us on the socials for details—a new card is revealed every week!

Will you sell physical card games?

To play Illuminati with physical cards, here’s your best option.
